Boil 1,5 glass of water. (300 ml.) (You will use it in later stages.)
Wash the lentil in cold water and take them in a small pot to boil. Add water up to 1,5 fingers over lentil. On high heat,boil for 5-6 min until half-tender.
Chop the onion into small cubes.
Peel the carrot and chop itinto small cubes.
Peel and grate the tomato.
Wash, rinse and chop the cards in finger thickness. (You can cut the hard parts of the chards.)
Take a pot on stove and add 2 tbsp olive oil. When the oil warms up over medium heat, start to sautée the onions. After 2-3 min, add the carrots and continue to sautée.
Add tomato paste and sautée stirring for 1-2 min. Then add the chards and stir. Sautée until chards are tender. Finally, add the grated tomato and boiled lentils and stir.
Add 1,5 glasses of boiling water. Make the salt-pepper adjustment. Cook for 10-12 min. (the lid is closed)
You can serve Lentil & Chard Dinner with sourdough bread slices and yoghurt.
