Chop the onion and carrot into small cubes. Cut green pepper horizontally in half and cut thinly into pieces

 

Boil 2 water glasses of water and let it stand on the side.

Take the pot to the stove and add 1 tbsp olive oil. When the oil warms over medium heat, add the onions and sautée for 4 minutes. (stirring)

 

Then add the carrots and keep sautée for 4 minutes (stirring).

 

Add green peppers and continue stirring. In the meantime, drain cowpeas and pass them through cold water.

Add cowpeas and pepper paste to the pot, stir. Sautée for 2-3 min more and add hot water. Make the salt-pepper adjustment and cookfor 10-12 min.

For The Cacık; peel the cucumber and chop it into small cubes or grate in long stripes

 

Grate the garlic. And mince it again with a knife.

 

Take yogurt in a mixing bowl and whisk it with a fork. Add ½ water glass of drinking water into it and stir. Add garlic and cucumbers, adjust salt-pepper and stir.

 

When the cowpeas are cooked, you can serve with sourdough bread slices and cacık.
