Wash and drain Bulgur in cold water.
Cut off the stems of the beans and clean the sides with a peeler. If there is no vegetable peeler, you can do it with a knife.
Chop the beans in 1 cm cubes.
Chop the onion into small cubes. Grate the garlic.
Cut the tomato in half and grate it.
Boil 2 water glasses of water. (You will use it in later stages.)
Heat an empty pot over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and butter to the hot pot. Sautee garlic for 30 seconds.
Add the onions and sautee for 2 min. Add the beans and sautee for two more minutes.
Add the tomato paste and sautee by mixing it for 1 min. Then add the bulgur and stir it for 1 min.
Finally add the tomatoes and cook for 1 minute more. Add 2 water glasses of hot water and make the salt-pepper adjustment.
Close the lid, cook over low heat until the bulgur absorbs water.
After it’s done, leave it to rest for 5 minutes. Later on, you can serve Green Beans & Bulgur with Yoghurt.
Enjoy!
